EOS Chandelier
Two porcelain bodies, three crystal rings, 216 centimetres. The classic chandelier rethought with the technique of the Zsolnay manufactory.
The piece
EOS Chandelier is a pendant, not a ceiling fitting: it is made for rooms where the height is free — entrance halls, stairwells, double-height living rooms. Three perforated porcelain bodies alternate with three cut crystal rings; the body is concave, the ring cylindrical, and that alternation gives the piece its rhythm.
The eosin
The green-gold eosin glaze was invented by Vilmos Zsolnay, and the Pécs manufactory still works with that technique today. The glaze is not one colour: the surface turns from green to gold with the angle of incidence, so the piece reads differently through the day and as you walk around it.
Why perforated
The diamond perforation is a lighting decision. The porcelain body is lit from within and the diamonds throw the light onto wall and ceiling — the fitting is not only a source but a pattern. The crystal rings scatter the light that falls at eye level: that is what keeps the piece comfortable close up.
Ordering
Every piece is made to project: the number of bodies, the overall drop and the glaze colour follow the room. The four base colours are gold, silver, purple and green. Data sheet, price and sample on request.
